When I am running to a really good song, my hair is blowing in my self-created wind, and I am in a great breathing rhythm, I feel like I am breaking records. At the indoor track two nights ago, I had this fast run feeling; then, a 10 year-old went flying past me. That was a real deflater. Of course, he was only doing a quarter mile, and I was running three miles. Maybe I could run ahead of him on a quarter mile sprint. Maybe. Oh well, I will just enjoy my music and my personal running high.
Don’t let it bother you that you were passed by a high energy kid. Just see him in your mind as a Kenyan or Ryan Hall and revel in coming in second to “that” runner. 🙂 Great post.
Happy running,
Rundad
Thanks for the comment! I enjoyed reading your blog. I can’t wait for warmer weather so that I can run outside, instead of on an eighth mile track. Although, I am grateful that I at least have the track.
